Jephthah needs help and makes an infamous promise.

With Samaria under siege, Yahweh has a startling message for Elisha.

He is, finally, at rest.

Now Yahweh God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden…

“This is at last bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh…”

It is not good for God to be alone. 

“Shall we do it again?” He asks. “Let’s,” He responds. 

Birds—a new thing. Not of the water, nor of the land, but of the air. 

“Let the water teem with living creatures!”

Day three gives way to day four. It’s time…for time. 

“Let the land produce vegetation!”

Silvery cirrostratus clouds skin the sky, haloing the light…

The Spirit of God hovers…suspended. Pausing. Anticipating.  …And then, His voice.

How do you tell the story of Everything?

Why would He test us?

Why are the last people who should lead the ones who volunteer first?

If He says He’ll be with us…will He?

How many stories are lesser stories than they should have been?

Every path contains a thousand possibilities.

What happens when we tell Him no?
